Conscious Travel: sustainable Gadgets & Brands

Some suggestions to travel, but making it conscious.

I often speak about places to visit, trying to give useful guides when Ivisit new places and speaking about one of the things that makes mehappiest, that is travelling.

But in these times I think it's also necessary to consider the way we do this: climate changes are in these years a serious thing and everyone should be informed about this. The oceans and the environment where we live are in danger and if we care about it, we have to changesome of our habits.

"OK, OK... I know all these issues, I heard something about, but what I'm suppose to do? I can't change everything!" you could think, but the reality is that everyone in "its small world" can make a difference.

So here I'm giving some tips about gadgets you can use while you are travelling: something in our "little world" that can make a change in the "bigger world".

1) Bamboo toothbrush

Some advantages:

This helps to reduce environmental pollution, reducing plastic in the oceans and saving many marine species. It is made of bamboo, an ecological and sustainable material that absorbs carbon dioxide and grows back quickly. Having antibacterial properties in itself, it does notneed the use of pesticides or other toxic substances to be cultivated. Moreover, its biodegradable handle is able to decompose in a few years.

2) Water thermal bottles in bamboo, glass or steel

Some advantages:

The steel thermal bottles are fully included among the most important eco-sustainable products currently. Using a steel thermal bottle may seem like a trivial choice but in reality it can really make a difference: the more they increase, the smaller the quantity of plastic bottles and bottles that are damaging the Earth, especially the seas. Furthermore, steel, being 100% recyclable, allows it to be reused countless times without further impacting the environment. Moreover it it lasts a long time and you can personalize it!

3) Canvas shopping bags

For a similar reason of the thermic bottles, plastic bags are very difficult to recycle and dangerous for the environment and expecially the oceans. Canvas shopping bags are reusable (another advantage: you don't have to pay for every single plastic bag at the supermarket!),customizable, washable and you have a very large variety.

4) Soap bars and solid toiletries

They last a long time and don't have all those undesirable plasticpackaging. Always select organic and ecological soaps, free ofdangerous chemicals.

The bottles of bubble bath are made of plastic, a recyclable materialbut not forever.

The choice is increasing: both from the point of view of dimensions, fragrances and components. There are rice starch soaps for the most delicate skin, those with lavender and calendula for skin prone to irritation, charcoal, orange blossom, almond and much more. Also remember that it is easier for travelers to carry solid toiletries due to airport restrictions on liquids.

5) Reusable make-up wipes

Disposable make-up wipes are useful, but you may not know that they are made from a diabolical combination of non-biodegradable plastic fibers that take forever to decompose. Conversely, reusable / washable make-up wipes are much more hygienic and beneficial for the skin. They are made with organic and natural microfibers, ideal for you and the environment.

6) Solar chargers

This type of charger allows you to recharge your smartphone wherever we are, in the presence or absence of power sockets, and especially even outdoors, and this is lovely when you are travelling, because it is not always possible to find power sockets (but sometimes it could be necessary!). Not only the convenience from a practical point of view: it allows significant energy savings, that is goodfor the planet. There are many types and also a variable scale of prices.
